Juke Kartel are excited to announce their 2010 return to their home ground of Australia. This will be in conjunction with the launch of their new album ‘LEVOLUTION’ – due for release August 20. JK will be debuting the first single off of the CD called “The Sign” with dates around the country, including support dates with Slash.

‘LEVOLUTION ‘ has been recorded with leading producer Brian Virtue who is responsible for albums – 30 Seconds to Mars, Jane’s Addiction and Velvet Revolver and who is also responsible for 6 of the new sounds featured on this new recording. The new album features six previously released songs off Juke Kartel’s record “Nowhere Left to Hide” which have been remixed by Dan Korneff (My Chemical Romance, Cavo, etc). Remixed for US radio, the band wanted to give their loyal fan base back home a taste of where their sound is headed with these tracks before hitting officially releasing in the United States.

Fronted by Toby Rand who rose to fame appearing in U.S. reality show Rock Star Supernova with Tommy Lee and Dave Navarro, Juke Kartel are set to become one of the most successful export bands from Australia with a new record label deal in place in the United States through Carved Records and under the management of some of the top American music heavyweights. Rand highly anticipates the release of the new material stating, “For me, the process we went thru with writing the new material on LEVOLUTION, created an opportunity to rise with a new found understanding and respect for our individual paths and surroundings. Recognizing the signs of obstacles or saviors and choosing what will elevate us to the next level. This experience allowed us to write about the freedom of stepping into our own power and create a unity that inspires us all to walk the journey together”.

Juke Kartel will also be supporting the solo tour of Slash who has become one of the band’s biggest supports. They were given the opportunity to share the stage with Slash, Fergie, Ozzy Osbourne and Ronnie Wood at a Slash and friends concert in Norway & again in November for Slash’s Charity Fundraiser LAYN (Billy Idol, Ozzy, Dave Navarro, Andrew Stockdale).

Formed in Melbourne, Juke Kartel has its roots with front man Toby Rand, guitarists Todd Burman and Dale Winters and bassist Tommy Kende, who came together as young teenagers to form a rock band. Drummer Jason Pinfold joined the band two years ago and Juke Kartel was formed.

The band has received many accolades in recent years and are able to claim the title of being the first unsigned artist to perform at the MTV Awards Australia. Other achievements include winning the 2008 People’s Choice awards in Australia, winning the Best Unsigned Artist award in 2009 at the Music Oz Awards, opening for Nickelback in Australia and touring the US & Australia with Rockstar Supernova.
