GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival – 10th Anniversary Celebration
Friday July 31 ~ Saturday August 1 ~ Sunday August 2
Souths Leagues Club, West End

The annual GreazeFest Kustom Kulture Festival achieves a major milestone this year when it celebrates its tenth anniversary.

The festival that started as an underground weekend in the year 2000 has grown into the ‘must-do’ Kustom Kulture event of the Southern Hemisphere. The annual GreazeFest celebrates all the cool elements of the 1950s including hot rods, classic cars, rockabilly bands and djs, vintage fashions and energetic jive dancing.
Greazefest

The GreazeFest will be held from Friday July 31 to Sunday August 2, with two live music events on Friday and Saturday evenings, followed by a family friendly hot rod show and markets on Sunday. All events will be held at Souths Leagues Club, Davies Park, West End.

U.S.A. Rockabilly Exclusive

The U.S.A. rockabilly sensation, Marti Brom, will be headlining a roster of 20 great performers at this year’s GreazeFest.

Marti Brom’s distinctive voice and powerful performances has her recognised as one of the world’s preeminent rockabilly acts. Marti Brom will be making an exclusive appearance at GreazeFest (Sat Aug 1).

Exciting Australian Acts

Rockabilly performers from all over Australia are heading to Brisbane to be part of the tenth anniversary celebrations, including The Satellites (Adelaide); Johnny Law & The Pistol Packin’ Daddies (Perth); The Flattrakkers (Newcastle); Bone Rattlers (Hobart); Pat Capocci Combo (Sydney); DJs Limpin’ Jimmy & The Swingin’ Kitten (Sydney) and DJ Mike da Moocha (Perth).

Hot Rod Show

The GreazeFest weekend culminates at the Hot Rod Show on Sunday (Aug 2) with a huge display of hot rods, customs and classic automobiles.

Entrants go in the running to be crowned in the unique categories such as King Kroozer (longest distance), King Rod (best hot rod) and Trophy Queen (female drivers).

Adding to the Hot Rod Show will be the largest ever assembly of market stalls, plus local artist displays, live rockabilly bands and djs.

All-Ages and Family Activities

Every member of the family will be welcome on Sunday (Aug 2) and with children 15 and under being admitted free, this makes the day an affordable and exciting family outing.

Entry for adults is $20 or $15 in advance. Food and refreshments will be available throughout the day.

Children are encouraged to bring their ‘lowrider’ bicycles to be included in the Hot Rod Show, entrants go in the running for the ‘King Cycle’ trophy.

Underage rockabilly trio, Checkered Fist, aged from 12 to 16 years, will be part of the entertainment on Sunday. The talented young band from Newcastle has been touring up and down the East Coast promoting their second CD release ‘Psychobilly Unleashed’ (MGM Distribution).
