Forever the Optimist announce ‘Arecibo’ Tour Dates + Release ‘End of Antics’ Music Video

torForever the Optimist‘s message was received – the transmission about their album ‘Arecibo’ was heard loud and clear and now it’s time for them to visit those who received it and give them their mission – spread the word.

Forever the Optimist’s album ‘Arecibo’ transmitted on April 18, 2014 to all corners of the globe and the replies came back in earnest.

This new message comes in visual form with a promise attached – a visually stunning filmclip for single ‘End of Antics’ and a promise to bring the message to the people, live, throughout Australia.

Forever the Optimist are bringing their lush, atmospheric, hard-edged debut record to the East Coast of Australia – Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Canberra, Rockhampton and Mackay from June 6th to June 28th.

Today they release the filmclip for ‘End of Antics’ – a filmclip made by the legendary Brisbane filmmaker “RCStills”. Rick, in conjunction with the band, has created a powerful, dynamic and fitting filmclip to match one of the most memorable and hard-hitting tracks on the record. The filmclip makes use of green and blue screens and powder colours to bring the phantom-like characters to life and the members of the band spent many hours pelting one another with the colours.

The album ‘Arecibo’ was conceived almost 2 years ago and the build has been slow, yet purposeful. A build towards a time when the world was ready for them. Now is that time – the 11 track album features previous singles ‘Enter, Circus’, ‘Warning Horns’ and ‘Revolutions’, as well as ‘End of Antics’. This time and spreading initial messages about the band via extensive touring has resulted in an army of fans awaiting the LP. and now the tour.

They are touring throughout June and are playing venues such as The New Globe Theatre in Brisbane, The Espy Gershwin Room in Melbourne, The Bald Faced Stag in Sydney, The Crown and Anchor in Adelaide, the Basement in Canberra and more. Forever the Optimist have toured their past 3 singles in earnest around Australia and have played shows with bands such as Redcoats, Floating Me, Sydonia, Helm, Strangers, Grinspoon and more.

‘Arecibo’ is available now in JB Hi-Fi, Waterfront Records and good record stores, as well as at shows and online everywhere including iTunes and Spotify. Tickets will go on sale for the Arecibo tour on Friday 16th May and can be purchased for all shows at http://www.forevertheoptimist.com.au..
