Singer/Songwriter, Ben Kweller was born in San Francisco, CA in 1981. Kweller was exposed to music at a very early age.
By his teenage years, Kweller had released two albums and EP with his band Radish, not beginning his solo career until the age of 19. His heartland hooks and folksy flourishes made fans out of several artists, and Kweller soon found himself touring with the likes of Juliana Hatfield, Guster, Kristin Hersh, and Evan Dando.
|Since bursting onto the local music scene in 2007, ARIA nominated duo Spit Syndicate have established themselves as one of the country’s most exciting new hip-hop groups. Hailing from Sydney’s Inner West, rappers Nick Lupi and Jimmy Nice have steadily developed an electric buzz and loyal following across the country.
In September, they will join legendary USA collective Cypress Hill on their Australian tour.
|Rising from the Savannah swamplands in 2003, BARONESS have exploded onto the musical landscape with a sound built upon a resolute sense of purpose and shaped by hundreds of explosive live shows, which has elevated them from the rest of the metal pack.
Their debut ‘Red Album’ sat the metal community fairly and squarely on its ass with its sonic vision; colossal riffs and haunting
vocals rolling like thunder across epic songs spanning both the intense and the sublime. The album was so impressive Revolver Magazine named it Album of the Year.

Sleepy, seaside fishing village gets its loudest wakeup call yet as Pikelet helps launch the first of the line up and some exciting new developments for the 14th annual Queenscliff Music Festival.
The first round of artists for this year’s Queenscliff Music Festival have been revealed as well as a number of exciting, new announcements at a special launch event on Tuesday 10th August, held at Melbourne’s Transit Lounge, where the incomparable girl-with-the-loop-pedal, Evelyn Morris aka.Pikelet, dangled the musical carrot with a Festival preview performance.The 2010 festival line up when completed will deliver over 80 acts presenting 150 performances in 13 venues across Queenscliff on the weekend of 26-27-28 November.

That saying will be tested in 2011 as we proudly announce a rare chance to see rock legends IRON MAIDEN as the headline artist for next years festival. 20 Years of Bloodletting: “The Vampires Rise”
Concrete Blonde will return to Australia to perform and celebrate the music of their classic album ‘Bloodletting’ and other essential songs featured throughout the Concrete Blonde album catalogue which includes; Concrete Blonde, Free, Walking In London and Mexican Moon.
From the release of their eponymous album back in 1986, the music of Concrete Blonde gained a loyal audience in Australia with their popularity increasing with the release of each album and subsequent tours. In June 1990 the track ‘Joey’ from the album ‘Bloodletting’ found them at the top of the Australian singles chart; confirming them as one of the favourite touring acts of that year and ensuring future and frequent tours of Australia for the following fifteen years.
