The Jezabels “Dark Storm Tour” – November 2010 [Tour News]


The Jezabels – The Jezabels		   Due to the sudden closure of The Troubadour, The Jezabels shows will now be one show only at The Zoo on Sun Dec 5th.

Tickets for both Troubadour shows will be valid for The Zoo. And extra tickets are now on sale as a result of the extra space.

Refunds are available from point of purchase for the Saturday night tickets if they’re not able to make the Sunday Zoo show.

With the Wednesday, 26 January Sydney BDO tickets snapped up in record time a second Sydney BDO will now be added.

It’s only the third time in the Festival’s 19 year history that a second show has been staged in any city.

Fans can now attend the second Festival in Sydney, comprising the same bill, on THURSDAY, 27 JANUARY 2011

Philadelphia Grand Jury ‘Save Our Town’ Australian Tour – Nov/Dec 2010

  By the time Philadelphia Grand Jury come back to Australia in November for the ‘Save Our Town’ tour they will have spent the 6 months prior to that doing the following: living and recording in London; setting up a studio; they will have crossed the USA no less than 3 times; played over 50 dates in the UK; toured South Africa; and even ducked back to Australia to play the main stage at Splendour in the Grass.

Now the Philly Jays are set to release their newly recorded single ‘Save our Town’. The track will be side A on a limited edition seven inch vinyl release, which will also feature as a B side the newly recorded version of a live crowd favourite – the punk cover version of Jay-Z’s ’99 Problems’.

The Holidays – Debut Album Release & National Headline Tour – October 2010

Sydney foursome The Holidays’ debut album, Post Paradise, may have been a long time coming, but it has absolutely been worth the wait.

Post Paradise (Bonus Track Version) – The Holidays 		  The band commenced writing the album early last year and a metamorphosis of sorts gradually began to take place. They’ve left behind the simplicity of their earlier indie guitar sound and took aboard new influences where both the groove and layers were equally as rewarding as the glistening pop hooks. A steady guiding hand also came from one of the country’s premier mixers, Tony Espie (Avalanches, Midnight Juggernauts, Cut Copy).

On first listen brand new single Broken Bones is as unassuming as a late summer stroll but then consistently uncovers more and more layers to reveal a luscious, tropical experience.

LINKIN PARK – Australian Tour December 2010


Linkin – Linkin Park 		  Under the heat of the summer sun Linkin Park will reign over Australia this December, playing major arena shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

The tour follows the September 10 release of Linkin Park’s fourth studio album ‘A Thousand Suns’ on Machine Shop Recordings / Warner Music. Following on from their 2007 #1 album ‘Minutes to Midnight’, the album is co-produced by Rick Rubin and Mike Shinoda, and features 15-tracks, including lead single ‘The Catalyst’, currently tearing up Australian radio.

ZIGGY, THE SONGS OF DAVID BOWIE – November 2010

If there’s one pop artist that multiple generations can relate to its David Bowie. There’s always a tinge of nostalgia listening to Bowie’s mellifluous tones whether it is listening to the Man Who Fell To Earth, Thin White Duke, Aladdin Sane or of course The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust, which signified his ‘comeback’ in 1972 after a brief lull in his pop career.

ZIGGY, THE SONGS OF DAVID BOWIE pays homage to Bowie, the pop phenomenon – the influential individualist with the uncanny ability to push boundaries and transform himself and the world around him. RICHARD BONA Journeys to Australia – November 2010

  The electrifying Cameroonian bassist and singer Richard Bona is coming to Australia with his band for the very first time. This is destined to be a wonderful, genre-bending tour that takes in Sydney and Melbourne before finishing up at the famous Adelaide International Guitar Festival which is curated by Slava Grigoryan.

Richard’s band for his first Australian outing includes a handful of fine contemporary musicians – Etienne Declin Stadwijk on keyboards, Lee Tatum Greenblatt on trumpet, Jean Christophe Marie Maillard on guitar, and Ernesto Siverio Simpson on drums.

Matt Corby ‘Transition to Colour’ EP Launch Tour

  After a short, sharp national tour throughout July, leaving a growing legion of rather amazed fans in his wake at a string of sold out venues (as well as supporting Mumford and Sons at their sold out Sydney shows), Matt Corby is proud to announce that he will be returning to Melbourne and Sydney for two special event shows in October.

The shows will coincide with the release of Matt’s second EP, Transition to Colour, on October 8, and serve as a taster for a broader national EP tour later in the year, as well as Matt’s 2011 scheduled debut album.

Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan will be joined on stage by drummer Mike Byrne, bassist Nicole Fiorentino and guitarist Jeff Shroeder – currently touted by the media as the best Smashing Pumpkins reincarnation yet.

Guttermouth (USA) Australian Tour 2010 – October 2010

  Last time Guttermouth visited Australia, New Noise Agency took them to the major capital cities, alongside a visit to Toowoomba’s Eidican festival. These depraved genius legends of California’s Punk community sold out shows, shocked newcomers and far surpassed the expectations of faithful fans.
