With an extensive (and eclectic) career spanning 20 years, American comedian/actor/writer Brian Posehn is set to head down under in April 2016 for his first Australia tour – following a constant string of shows in the best comedy clubs and rock venues in the US.

Brian recorded his 2nd full hour comedy special in July of 2015, in San Diego. He released his 1st one hour special, The Fartist, via Netflix in 2013. He also features in several other titles available for viewing on the streaming giant, including Mr. Show (1995-1998) and its revival series W/ Bob & David (2015). Brian is currently co-writing Deadpool for Marvel Comics and has a popular podcast, Nerd Poker, on the Earwolf network.

He has cemented himself as the king of nerd humor, producing/appearing in culturally relevant podcasts, TV shows and movies throughout his career. He has co-starred in Universal’s feature The Five Year Engagement and in the popular Canadian indie comedy, Lloyd the Conqueror. In recent times, Brian has made guest appearances on popular sitcoms The Big Bang Theory, Guys with Kids and Anger Management. He starred in Comedy Central’s hit show, The Sarah Silverman Program for three seasons, and toured as one of the original members of Comedians of Comedy.

Earlier in his career, Brian featured in prominent sitcoms Just Shoot Me, Seinfeld, NewsRadio, Californication, Everybody Loves Raymond and Friends. He has also appeared in movies such as Judd Apatow’s Funny People, Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Sex Drive, Surf’s Up and Uncle Nick.

Over the years Brian has amassed an extensive list of voice-acting roles to add his impressive résumé, including Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Adventure Time, Metalocalypse, Bob’s Burgers, Mission Hill and American Dad.

In 2006 he release his first graphic novel, The Last Christmas, and his debut comedy album: Live in Nerd Rage and in 2009 he released his album, Fart and Weiner Jokes. He also co-wrote Hollywood Said No with long-time collaborative partners Bob Odenkirk and David Cross.

Brian has had a longstanding affinity with the metal community – his music video for Metal by Numbers accumulating over two million views on YouTube & MySpace. In 2009 & 2010, he directed a video and Comedy Central pilot for the hilarious hair metal band, Steel Panther. He is currently producing a Comedy Metal album with Scott Ian of Anthrax.
