Blackmilk – “In Lak’ech”

Following a huge launch in Perth, Blackmilk’s debut album ‘In Lak’ech’ is out now through Fat Shan Records/MGM. Three years in the making, In Lak’ech is a twelve track album weaving through a fabric of rock, psychedelia and electronica.

Track four on the record The Prospector (2:48) showcases the more delicate and stripped back side of Blackmilk, with swells of strings and choral vocals creating a harmonious and lush soundscape.

“You guys are so damn consistent. This new tune knocks away expectations with some dense production and enigmatic twists. Want more. ” – Dave Ruby Howe from Triple J on ‘In Lak’ech‘

Luscious harmonies, driving beats and sun soaked guitars and keyboards create a blissful haven for your ears to swim through.

In the past few years Blackmilk have released two EP’s, toured the country a number of times and shared stages with bands such as The Dandy Warhols, British India, Papa Vs Pretty and more.

The album showcases all facets of Blackmilk’s eclectic sound, swimming through psychedelia, rock, trip hop and folk.

The band will be heading to Melbourne and Sydney for an album tour in March next year (2013).
