Gomez – Australian headline shows announced for 2018 (Bluesfest Touring)

Bluesfest Touring welcomes Gomez back to Australia for their first tour in 6 years and the 20th anniversary of their breakthrough album ‘Bring It On’ that featured the hits “78 Stone Wobble” and “Get Myself Arrested”. With so much to celebrate their Perth, Sydney and Melbourne sideshows are not to be missed. The group stood apart from other bands in the Brit-Pop era in their attitude and sound. Typical of this was the comment from the panel of judges for the Mercury Music Prize who described the album as “an intriguing blend of swamp blues, bar-room rock and eerie power.”

New Release: Loose Jets – Loose Jets (Release Date: Nov 17, 2017)

Rock and roll music refines and unearths itself regardless of whether it’s in the zeitgeist. Good bands look forward as they look back, incorporating what they love with what feels good. In short, they keep on playing, and make albums that age well and write songs people find no matter what year it is.

N.C.’s Loose Jets’ self-titled full-length has ten songs with a mix of vibes beginning to end, led by two singers, and made from years of wisdom, playing in bands, and an unending desire for creating combustible, swagger-filled songs.

Sharptooth “Clever Girl” Official Video

An archaic old saying espouses that “It’s better to be seen and not heard.” In the case of Baltimore, MD melodic hardcore upstarts Sharptooth, you could invert that as “It’s better to make a scene and be heard.”

Known for explosive live shows, battering ram energy, and provocative politically conscious messages, the five-piece—Lauren Kashan [vocals], Keith Higgins [guitar], Lance Donati [guitar], Phil Rasinski [bass], and Connor Mac [drums]—consistently leave a lasting impression on stage and on their full-length debut, Clever Girl [Pure Noise Records]. Often dubbed “the crazy band” since their 2015 emergence, the group lives up to that promise of unpredictability.

Van Morrison ‘Versatile’

Following the massive success of his 37th studio album Roll With the Punches (which charted at No 11 on the ARIA Albums Chart this September), Van Morrison prepares the release of his 38th.

Versatile is positive proof that Van Morrison is built differently to other artists. One of very few British recording artists to warrant the description ‘living legend’, Van is currently working at a rate to put musicians a third of his age to shame; an ethic that harks back to his early days as a recording artist who’d easily release multiple brilliant long players within the space of a year.
