Mildura, located in rural Victoria, was the venue for Kings of Leon’s opening show on their long-awaited 2022 Australian tour. Over 10,000 people filled the newly opened complex to hear the band, natives from Tennessee. Comprising of brothers Caleb, Jared, Nathan Followill, and their cousin Matthew Followill. The band played a 25-song set that featured songs from their impressive 20-year career and eight-album catalogue.

What a perfect night for Melbourne’s share of the “Live” reunion.
Live supported by Lifehouse and The Calling – 17th November 2017 – Sidney Myer Music Bowl, Melbourne Victoria.

Melbourne turned on the weather for show two of Live’s Australian Reunion Tour on Friday night. under a perfect sunset, the band who most music lovers believed would never play together again, did just that and entertained a 7,000 crowd with passion and perfection. Melbourne was the second of only three shows in Australia for this tour.

Making the dash across town from the early and packed-out Bluesfest sideshow of St Paul & The Broken Bones, I made it into a sparsely populated Northcote Social Club bandroom just in time for the grunge-folk duo that is Little GeorgiaJustin Carter and Ashleigh Mannix have been involved in a few musical projects over the years, and got together in 2015 to explore their mutual attraction for alternative country songs.

The Pierce Brothers are an Aussie duo of brothers Jack and Pat Pierce, offering a set of guitar and percussion country-folk delivered with punch and self-deprecating humour. Both brothers have strong and soulful voices, and most of the songs have a strong beat and some rabble-rousing choruses – opener It’s My Fault and Only One as examples, which all combined to bring the crowd alive……”we’re totally professional……done venues like this 100 times…….at home!”

Searing heat and a dry dusty walk into the festival site felt like a pilgrimage to a holy land where hardship must first be endured to prepare the mind for revelation. Seeing people with various states of epic sunburn prepared me for what would be my skins fate at the end of this 3rd and final day of Falls festival.

Hits & memories Live at the Foreshore! Picturesque Nobbys Beach, could you ask for a better backdrop for a concert? One of Australia’s most scenic beaches complete with a working lighthouse, a bustling harbour and all in the heart of Newcastle. “Live at the foreshore” returned to this venue, this time selling out with a week to spare. Record sales prove yet again this country’s fixation with past music icons is not going away, in fact it will only get bigger.

Martha Wainwright Reveals Ten-Date National Australian Tour In March 2017

Already announced as one of the performers joining the Twilight at Taronga and Melbourne Zoo Concert Series, beguiling performer and esteemed singer-songwriter, MARTHA WAINWRIGHT, today announces that she will return to Australia for an extensive ten-date run in March 2017. The Goodnight City Tour begins at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Wednesday 8th March, before traversing the country to take in Sydney, Thirroul, Canberra, Newcastle, Lismore and Brisbane. The tour will wrap up with Hobart, Devonport and Bendigo performances. Tickets are on sale at 10am local time, Friday 11th November.
