Aussie lads Short Stack take out top spot this week’s ARIA Album Chart with their debut album “Stack Is The New Black”, knocking Michael Jackson from the number one position and becoming the fourth Australian act to top the album chart this year. Their single “Sway, Sway Baby” came close a month ago when it debuted at number two.

David Guetta’s “Sexy Bitch” achieves its second week at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, just above Guy Sebastian’s “Like It Like That” which is up two spots to #4. “Evacuate The Dance Floor” by Cascada jumps nine spots to #6 this week giving them their first top 10 result while the first hit for Cobra Starship and Leighton Meester “Good Girls Go Bad” is up 8 spots to #8.

After four top 30 hits within the space of a year, Mika returns nearly 18 months later to debut at #13 on the ARIA Singles Chart this week with “We Are Golden”. Lily Allen’s “22” is up five spots to #21, “Jump” by Flo Rida feat Nelly Furtado climbs four spots to #29, “Do It Again” by Cassie Davis moves four spots to #24 and Katy Perry’s “Waking Up In Vegas” re-enters the top 40 in #30 position this week.

In further ARIA Album Chart news this week, former Something For Kate front man Paul Dempsey debuts at No.5 this week with his first solo album “Everything Is True”. He reached the top 10 four times with Something For Kate between 1999 and 2006, including two #1 results with “The Official Fiction” in 2003 and “Desert Lights” in 2006.

The debut album “Differently” from Aussie pop princess Cassie Davis comes in at an impressive #14 this week while Katy Perry’s album “One Of The Boys” jumps a massive twelve spots, moving back into the top 30 at #23 after 47 weeks in the chart. “Ready For The Weekend” by Calvin Harris and “Here We Go Again” by Demi Lovato squeeze into the top 40 this week, debuting at #39 and #40 respectively.

With this week’s ARIA Digital Track Chart top 5 mirroring the singles chart top 5, Guy Sebastian’s “Like It Like That” moves up into #4 position, while “Good Girls Go Bad” by Cobra Starship feat Leighton Meester jumps a healthy seven spots to #6 and Cascada’s “Evacuate The Dancefloor” moves up from 15 to 7.

The ARIA Music DVD Chart experiences a shake-up this week; whilst “#1’s” by Michael Jackson remains at No.1, “Live In Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour” moves into the number 2 position, P!nk’s “Live From Wembley Arena” is up to #3 and Parkway Drive’s “The DVD” moves down two spots to #4. The Highwaymen title “Highwaymen Live” moves back into the top 10, landing at #8 after 107 weeks in the chart!
