MELBOURNE ASTRAL ROCKERS ALITHIA ANNOUNCE NATIONAL TOUR
Having recently returned from wowing audiences and critics and filling venues across Europe and Russia, Melbourne’s Astral Space Rockers, AlithiA announce their 6th Australian tour playing across 5 States and 1 Territory. Kicking off on November 15, the tour marks the release of the band’s new single ‘Here I Am’ and video which will be released on November 3. ‘Here I Am’ features Hungarian artist Flora Matisz on violin and guest vocals, and is the band’s gentlest and most ethereal track off the debut record ‘To the Edge of Time’
‘To the Edge of Time’ was recorded in Budapest, Hungary produced by Daniel Sandor (renowned producer in central Europe), ‘To the Edge of time’ features an array of international guests such as New York based MC Illspokinn, Cvetan Haydzsiyski from smallman playing the Bulgarian Gaida, Violinist Matisz Flora, Undos from Hungary’s most popular Art-rock band Grand Mexican Warlock, and Locsei Bence (ex-Poison of Marvel/Exe) frontman.
AlithiA is no stranger to touring and has had 2 highly successful European tours during 2012 and 2014, an extensive Russian tour earlier this year as well as 5 Australian tours. The band solidified a strong European fanbase during the tour touring alongside popular local acts such as Smallman (Bulgaria) and Grand Mexican Warlock (Hungary). AlithiA also supported a number of other prolific European acts such as sleepmakeswaves (AUS), Tides from Nebula (PL), Turbo (HU), Sonar (HU), Kayno Yesno Slonce (BG).
In Australia, AlithiA has performed amongst the country’s best in prog, post-rock and psychedelic music sharing stages with bands such as Closure in Moscow, NeObliviscaris, Jerrico, The Red Paintings, Breaking Orbit, Mushroom Giant, sleepmakeswaves, Voyager, Greenthief and many more. AlithiA’s music is being dubbed as ‘ASTRAL SPACE CORE’. More than simply a genre or musical tag, ASTRAL SPACE CORE, reflects a philosophy to embrace the exploration of the unlimited possibilities of the mind.
